There is luggage storage around the station. The place I went to was 600 yen for 5 hours.

Tainan Access/Basic Information
Tainan is located in the southern part of Taiwan and has no airport.
It seems safe to depart from Taipei Airport around 9:00 a.m. (to pick up the SIM) and travel to Tainan by train or from Kaohsiung International Airport.
It is possible to take a day trip to famous tourist attractions and historical sites in Tainan. I returned from Tainan by train to stay overnight in Tainan.

Manned islands from Tainan
There are none. Kaohsiung and Taitung have them.

Salt fields are introduced as a tourist attraction in Taiwan. However, when I read a blog entry of a Japanese who actually visited there, I found that the salt fields are different from those used by Taiwanese tourist bureaus, which discouraged me from visiting them. The salt fields are covered with objects to hold the mountains of salt in place.
