I took the first train from Kokura Station in Fukuoka Prefecture. On the same day, I visited Rokuretsushima in Yamaguchi Prefecture first thing in the morning, and then went to this island in the afternoon.
Board a ship from Yoshimi Port in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Yoshimi Port is only a few minutes’ walk from JP Yoshimi Station, so if you have nothing else to do, it is easy to use the train.
There is a commercial facility at Yoshimi Station where you can get food and drinks. There are also plenty of vending machines. There is also a store on Futaijima Island, but hours of operation have not yet been confirmed.

Yamaguchi-Ube Airport is priced at regular rates for ANA and JAL flights.
JAL holds a sale 2 months before boarding; ANA holds a sale around 3 months before boarding.
At that price, a one-way trip from Haneda Airport to Yamaguchi-Ube Airport is available for about 6,600 yen with JAL (for JAL sale price with 2024Nov).
Kitakyushu Airport is more accessible from overseas.
Hakata Airport is farther away, but has more international flights. Both airports have car rental stores.

The route to Yokosuka Port in Kanagawa Prefecture. During high season, such as the Bon Festival, car ferries are sometimes cheaper than airplanes for travel to and from Kanagawa. The basic fare is approximately 14,000-20,000 yen per adult one-way.

Unusually for a remote island, there is a store. In Kyushu as a whole, there are not many stores on remote islands. Yamaguchi is not in the Kyushu region, but it is located about 30 minutes by train from the nearest station here to Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu.
