I can say this because I have been to over 400 islands. This island is probably the only island in Japan of this size that has elevators in apartment complexes. It seems to be economically affluent, and the buildings and scenery are different compared to other similar sized inhabited islands………………………it’s not a remote island at all! It is the mainland!
