You can take a day trip from downtown Seoul. You don’t have to take the early morning one; unlike in Japan, the bus leaves before the departure time, so hurry up. 5 minutes before departure is indeed too much of a flying start.

Ferry trip difficulty level is “easiest” (★☆☆☆). Ferry service may be cancelled during typhoons and winter months.
The bus schedule to the port is only the one posted at the bus station; NAVER MAP is completely false or misleading. Due to this, the schedule has been changed.

First, take the bus to the port!
So don’t rely on that, check the timetables posted at the bus stops. I took a different bus because of that. I was supposed to go in the morning, but it left in the afternoon.
The location information of the bus stop was correct. You should first use the route search to go to that bus stop. There is a bus that goes directly to the port about once an hour. You can not use cash on that bus, so please make sure you have enough charge at the station.

You could board this green bus at the parking lot where you disembarked for a round trip. Even if there is a bus when you disembark, there is no driver. It seems to come back about 10 minutes before departure time. This bus left 5 minutes before departure time, so 5 minutes is already game over in Korea.
