【Attention】
It is best to go on a weekday if possible. If the route is crowded during long holidays such as GW in Japan, numbered tickets are required to board the ship on a first-come, first-served basis. Of course, island residents have priority in boarding.

Boarding from remote islands, passengers purchased boarding tickets on board. Cash payment only. New 500 yen coins are not accepted. Only 1,000 yen bills are accepted.

There is an elementary school. Junior high school students have two choices: commute by boat from this island or live in a dormitory on the mainland of Fukuoka Prefecture.

Senjojiki Rock:藍島千畳敷

A place where, when the tide recedes, a wide bedrock formation resembling a tatami mat appears all around. You can see the uninhabited “Kaijima” island in front of you and the uninhabited “Himejima” island to your right, and you can walk across to either at low tide.

I honestly think that the tatami rocks on OBU Island in Okinawa are more impressive. I was there first, so the tatami stones on AINOSHIMA were not enough for me. According to the island ability settings of Maharajima’s characters, OBU Island has a higher island ability.
